Come and celebrate the winter season with a family fun Frost Fair at Charles Dickens Primary School on Friday 12th December at 3.30pm. All are welcome and entrance is free.
Here is a taste of just some of what we have:
Charles Dickens School Bake Off
A baking competition for everyone to take part in at the Frost Fair
There will be prizes! After the cakes are judged by our expert panel (including the owner of Bread Ahead in Borough) they will be sold to all the hungry people at the fair!
Our Super Special Winter Music CD
Seasonal songs sung and played by pupils from Charles Dickens Primary School – specially recorded in site on 2nd December by our resident music producer Nico Renson.
CD’s are limited, am thinking £3 each or 2 for £5
Charles Dickens School Special Shopping Bags
We will have a bag with self portraits of all the children and staff – This year we have done a bag instead of a tea towel and we’ve done one for Key stage one and Early years, and one for KS2 also.
Crafts Made by the Children
Children will be making crafts for you to buy
Santa is coming to the Frost Fair!
If your child has a toy in GOOD CONDITION that they have grown out of – or don’t play with – they can bring it to Santa and visit him for FREE! (we ask a small charge if you don’t have a toy but you can still see Santa)
Santa can then deliver your toy to a child who would love to receive it – and you will get a special ‘Santa’s Little Helper’ badge to show they have been generous and thought about other children. Santa is donating to ‘Action for Refugees in Lewisham’ (they relieve poverty and isolation among local refugees and asylum seekers – and help lots of children).
Super Santa puzzle
Bradford Studios has been inventive again and we will have a timed Santa craft puzzle with prizes
Winter snow scene:
Hannah Metcalfe has added to her lovely snow scene as seen last year – and you can have a magical photo taken from the Frost Fair!
Katia and Mark are using their expertise and will have another science corner running. In the past we’ve had microscopes, measuring lung capacity, and image editing with code, so watch this space!
