Happy New Year, and save the date – Sat 8th June PTA camping trip!

Happy New Year one and all!
The PTA has something exciting for you to plan for this summer! Save the date for Saturday the 8th of June (first weekend after half term).
We have booked the whole of the main field of the closest camp site to Central London.. to be precise the South London Scout Centre in Dulwich. I can tell that although it is a short journey from SE1 it does feel like you have left the city, and it has a real woodland beside it too.
We are able to have day visitors and campers on the site, and the field has a special camp fire area, and also a few shelters with barbecues. It has a building with decent toilets and showers as well. All you have to do is bring or borrow a tent, and your own food, drink and bedding. Its not an organised school trip – so parents are responsible for their own children and themselves.
Its so close that anyone who doesn’t fancy camping out could still join us fro the day; and we hope to be able to help families lend and borrow spare tents to those  trying camping out for the first time.
Please let the PTA know any ideas you have for this as we have plenty of time to plan.
Teachers welcome too of course
·         The charge is £4.00 each per night. [children & adults]
·         Day visitors £1.00 each per day.
Much much more to come
best
